Cape Town City have confirmed the transfer of Kermit Erasmus to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 30-year-old will sign a 4-year contract with the Brazilians.
FARPost broke the news on September 18 that Erasmus could be moving from the Cape to Pretoria, changing from being a Citizen to a Brazilian.
On Sunday morning Cape Town City finally confirmed Erasmus’ move.
“Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns have reached an agreement over the transfer of Kermit Erasmus. A hero in the City shirt, we wish him the best of luck in the next phase of his career,” confirmed City.
The Port Elizabeth-born marksman was in his element last season.
Erasmus scored 14 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions for the Cape side and comes into a Sundowns side already brimming with talent upfront, let alone in other areas.
The former Pirates striker will team up with the likes of newly recruit, Peter Shalulile.
