FARPost has been reliably informed that Black Leopards have taken a decision to suspend three players Lifa Hlongwane, Tebogo Makobela and Onyedikachi Ononogbu with immediate effect, at least until the end of the season.
This is after the club found out that the trio took part at the Thabiso Semenya Easter Tournament in Moletjie, a day after their 1-0 defeat by AmaZulu at Thohoyandou.
This publication has it on good authority that the club held a meeting on Wednesday where the said players were informed about the decision.
They are due to appear before a displinary hearing at the end of the season where a final decision on their future will be made.
It is believed that the club feel betrayed by the players’ decision to participate at an amateur tournament given the risks that comes with such a decision and the log position of the club.
Efforts to reach the club Chairman David Thidiela were fruitless as his phone rang unanswered.
