FARPost sources confirm that former Orlando Pirates midfielder Musa Nyatama has joined Highlands Park and will start training today. He’ll wear jersey number 18.
“That’s correct… it’s a deal until the end of the season,” confirms Highlands Park director, Sinky Mnisi.
Nyatama recently ‘requested’ to be released from his contract at Pirates, which was set to expire at the end of the 2019/20 season.
The lack of game time forced the midfield player to leave the Soweto giants after featuring in over 70 games for the club in 3 years.
In the current season, Nyatama made 8 appearances in all competitions for Bucs and has 2 assists to his name and a single goal.
In his first season at Pirates, the 32-year-old was named Player and Player’s Player of the season at club’s awards in 2018.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic player will bring plenty of experience and stability in the central midfield of the ‘Lions of The North’.
