Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has been ruled out for the 2 remaining games of the season.
The Nigerian goalminder suffered a concussion on Sunday against Bidvest Wits. Chiefs lost the encounter 1-0 after Akpeyi was replaced by Bruce Bvuma.
“He is ruled out for the next two matches. The medical team will continue monitoring his recovery process. We wish him a speedy recovery,” Chiefs confirmed in a statement on Monday evening.
Akpeyi has been Chiefs’ number 1 keeper this season ahead of Itumelebg Khune and Bvuma.
The log leaders will face Chippa United on Wednesday and conclude the season against Baroka on Saturday.
