Rumor has it that Wedson Nyirenda has quit as head coach of Baroka with immediate effect.
Nyirenda’s relationship with the club’s management has been tense following a terrible start to the season which see them languish 3rd from bottom in the Absa Premiership.
The Zambian mentor has also not been happy with the alleged interference by the management when it comes to team selection.
A Source told #FARPost on Monday morning that indeed the former Kaizer Chiefs player has officially called it quits.
“Yes, he is gone, he said his goodbyes to the team in the early hours of this morning. He is angry because he was not fully in charge of the team. He is gone for good. He is definitely not coming to training today,” said the source.
Nyirenda joined Bakgaga in 2018 and went on to win the Telkom Knockout Cup in the same year beating Orlando Pirates in the final.
Assistant coach Matsemela Thoka is expected to take charge of the team’s training session in Seleteng on Monday.
