TS Galaxy rising star Ethan Brooks has expressed his excitement to have received another Bafana Bafana call-up for the 2022 World Cup qualifier back-to-back clashes against Ethiopia.
South Africa will face the East Africans on 9 October away from home, with the return leg on 12 October at FNB Stadium.
Bafana are currently top of Group G with four points from two outings.
“It is always an honour and the privilege to be called for the national team. I’m just excited to go out there and show my talent,” Brooks told the media.
“It is important to go out there and win these back-to-back games against Ethiopia. It will keep us on top of the log in terms of us wanting to qualify.”
The 20-year-old midfielder became a key member of Hugo Broos’ side when they got the better of Ghana 1-0 at FNB Stadium on 6 September.
Brooks aims to keep fighting as Bafana attempt to overcome their World Cup qualifying struggles and seal their place in the next year’s tournament in Qatar.
