Maritzburg United assistant coach Delron Buckley is aware of the situation his side is facing and he is adamant they can improve.
The Team of Choice are fresh from their KZN Derby 3-2 victory against Golden Arrows at Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday.
They will take on Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday at 15:00, in a Dstv Premiership clash.
The former Bafana Bafana winger believes his team needs to grind for points, in order to move away from the relegation zone.
“We are preparing for this game focused on finding the right players to approach this game. We know it’s gonna be a difficult game, so we know what we are up for, so we have to give 100% and focus on winning this game,” he said.
“It’s very important that we collect points, we need to go there with the right approach. We don’t wanna sit at the bottom.
“Every game that goes past, every game that we play, it’s getting lesser and lesser. I think we have now four games left if I’m not mistaken, we need every point we can get.
“We are just hoping mentally the boys will be ready, it’s not gonna be easy, they are a very good team and we know exactly how they play.”
Buckley added: “I think coach Ernst Middendorp is ready tactically on how to eliminate this team.”
