With Orlando Pirates expected to make an announcement next week about the players that will be released from the team, Joris Delle is one of the players that will be waiting eagerly to know their future.
The Buccaneers are expected to make a decision on the goalkeeper.
The French shot-stopper has struggled for game time at Bucs since joining the club at the beginning of the 2019/2020 Absa Premiership season.
With just three league starts for Delle, Wayne Sandilands has been the preferred choice between the sticks and Delle is said to be frustrated with his situation at the Soweto giants.
The former French junior international arrived to high expectations from the Buccaneers faithful. He joined from Dutch side Feyernoord, but opinions have since changed.
Delle came under fire after conceding eight goals in just his first three appearances against Chippa United, Bidvest Wits and Cape Town City, prompting then coach Rhulani Mokwena to resort back to Sandilands between the poles.
” There has been talk about Pirates possibly getting set to sign a new keeper and if that’s the case, then there will have to be something coming up for Delle,” said our informant.
Furthermore, Pirates have been linked with Zimbabwean goalkeeper Simbarashe Chinani as well as Richard Ofori from Maritzburg United.
