#FARPost can reveal that Orlando Pirates are interested in signing Wayde Jooste, who was at Highlands Park.
In fact, our source has confirmed that Jooste was at the club on Monday for his medicals.
“It’ll be a surprise for everyone, but he was already there,” confirmed our informant.
Jooste was with Highlands Park last season having joined from Golden Arrows. But the sale of the Lions of the North to TS Galaxy has resulted in some of those players being forced to look for employment elsewhere.
The 29-year-old’s link with the Buccaneers appears to have caught the club’s supporters by surprise with some questioning why they need him.
Jooste didn’t have the best of seasons in the last campaign with just 17 appearances to his name, across all competitions.
It’d be interesting to see how the right winger would fit in at Pirates in the 2020/21 DStv Premiership season.
