For the first time ever, South Africa will be represented by two teams in the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League.
This comes after Kaizer Chiefs qualified for the last eight at the expense of Horoya on Saturday, joining Mamelodi Sundowns in the process.
The draw for the quarterfinals will take place on 30 April.
Sundowns, the 2016 champions, are in Pot A as one of the group winners.
Chiefs, meanwhile, will be in Pot B since they finished second in their group.
Simba SC 🇹🇿, Mamelodi Sundowns 🇿🇦, Espérance 🇹🇳, Wydad 🇲🇦
Al Ahly 🇪🇬, Belouizdad 🇩🇿, Kaizer Chiefs 🇿🇦, MC Alger 🇩🇿.
Sundowns, therefore, can face Al Ahly, Belouizdad, Chiefs or MC Alger.
On the other hand, Chiefs will draw Simba, Sundowns, Espérance or Wydad.
*The teams in the same pot cannot draw each other.
