Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah says he is happy to have moved to Cagliari.
Asamoah thanked the Italian club for the opportunity and vowed to help them overcome a difficult time.
The 32-year-old has moved to Sardinia as a free agent and he thanked everyone at the Casteddu. Asamoah has played 270 Serie A games during his time in Italy, including 134 games for Udinese between 2008 and 2012.
“I’m happy to be here in Cagliari. I thank everyone who gave me the opportunity to make this choice.
“Cagliari is a great team and I’m happy to have had the opportunity to come here to play. The team are is structured, there are both experienced and young players.
“I will be able to lend a great hand, because in my opinion we lack nothing to do well,” he continued. “We are going through a difficult time but we will overcome it together.
“I can play in many positions, but the coach will decide. I’m ready to give my best for the team and the city, that’s what I know how to do.
“In Serie A, you must stay positive and always give 100 per cent.”
He has signed a deal until the end of the campaign and he said his reception was incredible.
“From the day I arrived, I was received in an incredible way. I don’t feel like a new player, I feel like I’m at home.
“Even in the city, I met very nice and quiet people, so I’m happy to be here.”
Cagliari are 18th in Serie A with 15 points from 21 games and host a tricky trip to Atalanta this coming weekend.
Asamoah comes with a health of experience having played for Juventus and Internazionale who are two big clubs in Italian football.
