Cape Town City have announced the contract extinction of their defender Abbubaker Mobara which will see him at the club until the 2022/23 season.

“The club is delighted to confirm that we have exercised the option to extend the contract of defender Abbubaker Mobara. He signs until June 2023,” said the ‘Citizens’ in a statement.

Mobara joined the Cape Town-based outfit in July 2019 from Orlando Pirates where he lacked game time after two seasons of being with the club.

The crafty, creative 26-year-old defender has played 10 games in all competitions for his side in the 2020/21 season.

He remains one of the best man-markers and influential center-back at CT City.

Meanwhile, the club also confirmed the contract renewal of their speedy winger Craig Martin. The 27-year-old extends his stay at the team to June 2024.
