Cape Town City have announced the departure of Mark Mayambela and Riyaad Norodien.

“We thank them for their service to the club and wish them all the best for the next chapter,” said City in a statement.

The transfer window might be closed but Norodien and Mayambela can sign for any club that need their services as they are free agents. The duo fell out of favour at City.

Mayambela made only 6 appearances for City in all competitions this season after joining the club in 2019, while Norodien, who joined City from Pirates in 2018, featured 11 times in the Absa Premiership for the Cape Town outfit.

City also confirmed that winger Shaquille Abrahams has joined GladAfrica Championship side Cape Umoya FC on loan until the end of the season.
