Aubrey Ngoma has returned to Cape Town City ahead of the 2020/21 DStv Premiership season, the club announced on Tuesday morning.
The winger rejoins the ‘Citizens’ on a season-long loan after an unsuccessful stint at Mamelodi Sundowns, where he was reduced to a bench warmer for three seasons under coach Pitso Mosimane.
“Cape Town City is delighted to announce the signing of Aubrey Ngoma. Welcome home Aubrey,” said the club in a statement.
The 31-year-old enjoyed arguably his best season with CT City during the 2016/17 campaign, where he played an instrumental role as one of the top performances in the league before earning a lucrative move to Sundowns.
Ngoma now has an opportunity to reignite his career at his old club CT City after making only 14 appearances with just the one assist to his name at the Chloorkop-based side and only three starts across all competitions afforded over the past season and a half.
“I am just glad that I’m back here, I just have to work hard and hopefully continue where I left off, I am back,” said Ngoma.
