GladAfrica Championship side Cape Town Spurs have captured the signature of left winger Simphiwe Mambane.
The 18-year-old promising star was born and bred in Upington, Northern Cape.
“Mambane wrote matric last year and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree pass. Teammates Ashley Cupido and Rushwin Dortley also successfully passed their 2020 matric final exams, with results released this week,” said Ikamva in a statement.
In an interview with the club’s official site, Mambane said that: “Hard work pays off and I am grateful for this chance.”
“I am working hard to break into the team and if given the chance I will give 120 per cent. I am happy to have joined the Spurs family, I am looking forward to my time at the club.”
The youngster will have his first taste of professional football in Spurs colours after honing his skills in South Africa’s lower league in the Northern Cape Province.
“The club is a proven nurturing ground of young talent and we wish the left-winger all the best in his time at the club.”
