Goals galore at MDC

The Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC) produced a whopping 27 goals in just eight matches over the weekend.

Kaizer Chiefs were the big scorers with five goals against a hapless Chippa United side.

This match at Dobsonville Stadium saw seven goals being scored, with Chiefs winning 5-2.

Rahim Milazi netted a brace for Amakhosi and not to be outdone, Lebohang Lesako also helped himself to a double.

Elsewhere, Chiefs’ rivals Orlando Pirates overcame Polokwane City by a 2-0 scoreline.

Sifiso Luthuli and Simo Bophela were on the scoresheet for the Buccaneers.

Downs v Bucs produce four goals

Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates played to an exciting 2-2 draw in their Multichoice Diski Challenge match at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Bucs took the lead through Kagisho Madisha with a header, before Promise Mkhuma equalised with a well taken free kick.

Pirates then regained their lead courtesy of a goal by Sifiso Luthuli, but Downs defender Keagan Allen equalised again from the penalty spot for the share of the spoils.

Matsatsantsa edge Amakhosi in Pretoria

SuperSport United Reserves beat their Kaizer Chiefs counterparts 2-0 on the first of the Multichoice Diski Festival this afternoon.

Sechaba Mokoena and Sbusiso Maziko got the goals for the Tshwane outfit.

Earlier in the day, Highlands Park managed a 1-0 victory over Black Leopards.

Khulekani Shezi was on the scoresheet for the Lions of the North.
