Chiefs maintain lead at the top

Kaizer Chiefs go into the last match of the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season still on top of the log.

This is after Amakhosi beat Chippa United 1-0 at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night.

Khama Billiat scored his second goal of the season to help Chiefs stay on top with 56 points and a superior three goal difference compared to fellow title contenders, Mamelodi Sundowns who won 3-0 against Polokwane City.

The Chilli Boys received two red cards within a space of 21 minutes, with Tercious Malepe (67) and Elvis Moyo (88) shown the marching orders for dangerous play.

Chippa United remain 12th with 31 points and not entirely safe from finishing 15th, the relegation playoffs spot.

Chiefs will play Baroka in their last match while Sundowns will take on Black Leopards.
