Zimbabwean number one goalkeeper George Chigova is set for a return to SuperSport United after parting ways with relegated club Polokwane City.
FARPost has it on good authority that the 29-year-old has penned a three-year deal with Matsatsantsa a Pitori.
“Yes. George is going back to United and it’s a done deal that was finalised around January this year,” said our informant.
Chigova was first signed by United from Zimbabwean club Dynamos in 2014 after impressing during the African Nations Championship (CHAN) which took place in South Africa.
He was later sold to Polokwane City at the end of the 2014-15 season after failing to command a regular starting position.
Chigova went on to play 135 matches for Rise and Shine during his five-year stay at the club, until his contract expired at the end of the season.
Both the player and his agent Steve Kapeluschnik could not be reached for a comment.
