Ayabulela Konqobe and Luyolo Nomandela are the latest players who have parted ways with Chippa United.
The two players were released today by the Gqeberha-based side and they have subsequently become free agents.
Konqobe recently returned to the Chilli Boys camp after representing Bafana Bafana in the Cosafa Cup tournament, which was held in Gqeberha.
The 25-year-old Konqobe has been linked with a move to Golden Arrows, to reunite with his former coach Lehlohonolo Seema.
Konqobe enjoyed much game time under Seema at Chippa and the player is open to a move to Durban.
Meanwhile Nomandela, who recently signed with Chippa this year has been deemed surplus to requirement under the tutelage of Gavin Hunt.
Nomandela featured in a handful of matches under both Vladislav Heric and Lehlohonolo Seema last season anf he didn’t have any meaningful contribution.
The 31-year-old attacker who was signed from Chippa’s feeder team BCM Stars was given a life line by Chippa Mpengesi to rejuvenated his once promising football career.
This publication has been informed by a reliable source inside the club that Kurt Lentjies and Andile Mbenyane might also leave the Chilli Boys.
The duo joined the list of the players who have left after the arrival of Hunt, the likes of Oupa Manyisa, Anthony Laffor, and Thamsanqa Sangweni.
Hunt has hinted at lack of depth in the Eastern Cape club as he tries to resurrect the teams dignity in the PSL.
