In a move that comes as no surprise, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila have suspended their CEO Sello Chokoe with immediate effect.
Chokoe is accused of ‘defrauding’ the club of over R2 million.
The former Baroka coach has confirmed to FARPost that he has received a letter of suspension from the powers that be.
“I can confirm that I received documents from them on the allegations of suspension and I will defend myself accordingly, that’s what I am prepared to say now,” said Chokoe.
“Everything was okay, yesterday I was at the PSL offices registering the players because they are playing over the weekend. So I was doing my job as usual, hence I am saying to you this is just a surprise to me but I have to respect the process because the allegations are too serious,” he said.
Chokoe has been administrator at the controversial club since 2019.
He has been blamed for the shenanigans at the cub where some players are paid half of their salaries
The DC is set to sit on Friday, 11 December.
