Cape Town City have announced that number one goalkeeper Peter Leeuwenburgh will leave the club at the end of the season.
Leeuwenburgh is set to join Dutch Eredivisie side FC Groningen.
“Cape Town City and Dutch Eredivisie side FC Groningen have agreed to terms over the transfer of goalkeeper Peter Leeuwenburgh. Leeuwenburgh will spend the rest of the season with the Citizens and finish off our 2020/21 campaign,” the club announced on Friday.
The 27-year-old arrived at the Citizens in 2018 and featured in 85 matches in all competitions.
He was part of the squad that won the MTN in 2018.
