Manchester City have distanced themselves from links with a move for Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.
Messi has been linked with Pep Guardiola’s side and Paris Saint-Germain, but BBC Sport are reporting that City are “distancing themselves from links” with the forward.
The report says a club source has denied City have tabled a revised offer for Messi and also says no offers have been made and there are currently no talks either.
Sky Sports are also carrying a similar report and reckon they’ve been told from a City source that there have been no offers made, either in the summer, or since, and there are no talks.
City look set for another trophy-laden season. After a slow start, Guardiola’s side are 10 points clear in the Premier League, into the EFL Cup final and still in contention in the FA Cup and Champions League.
