Cape Town City produced five goals against Polokwane City on Wednesday night, proving that there’s life after their former coach Benni McCarthy.

Kermit Eramus netted a brace to guide the Cityzens to a 5-2 victory over the Limpopo side.

New Cape Town City coach Jan Riekerink was an interested spectator.

Since McCarthy was dismissed because of poor results, City were guided by caretaker coach, Vasili Manousakis.

New City coach Jan Riekerink, who was announced earlier in the day, watched from the stands as he awaits his work permit.

Charlton Mashumba replied with a rare PSL hattrick, but it wasn’t enough to get the visitors anything from the tie.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs’ Dumsani Zuma is the toast of town after netting a brace in Chiefs’ 2-0 win over Chippa United.

Dumsani Zuma was warmly received by the fans in Port Elizabeth and in return, he scored a brace.
