As with every football fanatic across the globe, coach Alan Clark is no different and has mad love for one football team, and no it is not Black Leopards.
The former school teacher at Norkem Park Primary, Kempton Park is a huge English Premiership side, Tottenham Hotspur fan that he decided to name his two children after the club and a former player.
Clark’s eldest son, Aaron is named after former Spurs and England international Aaron Lennon while his youngest daughter’s name, Lily comes from the London side nickname, Lilywhites.
“Yah I am a massive Tottenham Hotspurs fan and I have been ever since I started supporting football,” Clark tells FARPost.
“I have three children my oldest son is name after Aaron Lennon who played for Tottenham for 10 years and my youngest daughter her name is Lilly because Tottenham Hotspurs nickname is the Lilywhites in fact when she was born one of the first outfits we put on her was a Tottenham kit and she has Tottenham Hotspurs bunny all the way from England,” He explains.
Alan who is married to Roxanne Clark has a second son, Aiden, though his name has nothing to do with football.
“I have travel to White Hart Lane though I have not been to the new stadium. I saw Spurs against West Ham and against Manchester City before they had all the money, George Weah was playing for them and it was great to see him as well as an African” he said.
The former SuperSport United, AmaZulu and Platinum Stars assistant coach has a degree in Psychology as well as a Post graduate Diploma in Education with the University of South Africa. He was a Teacher for 12 years.
