Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of six players, as well as the return of Given Thibedi.
Amakhosi, who were banned from signing players for two transfer windows by FIFA, have enlisted the services of the following players; Njabulo Ngcobo, Sifiso Hlanti, Phathutshedzo Nange, Brandon Petersen, Kgaogelo Sekgota and Sibusiso Mabiliso.
Thibedi, meanwhile, was on loan at Swallows and has been recalled ahead of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership campaign.
The first day of July 2021 marked the end of the ban that prevented Kaizer Chiefs from signing new players for two consecutive window periods.
Prior to the signing of players, the Club brought in a new technical team with the respective appointments of Coach Stuart Baxter and Head of Technical, Molefi Ntseki towards the end of the previous season. We also saw Kaizer Motaung Jr. appointed to the position of Sporting Director at the start of July 2021.
Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager, Bobby Motaung and the technical team welcomed the new recruits to Naturena.
“We would like to welcome all the new players to Kaizer Chiefs,” says Bobby Motaung. “We certainly hope our supporters will be happy with our new recruits because some called for us to sign them. We trust that they will have a good time and help bring happiness to millions of our fans by helping the team perform well and win trophies.
“We have been following the players closely and saw them do well in the last season. We hope they bring that good form and discipline with when they come to us. All the eight new recruits will add further quality and experience to the squad we’ve assembled.”
The Club will make further announcements on players once negotiations have been finalised after the CAF Champions League final.
