Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire have secured their tickets to the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) slated for Morocco this year, following their qualification to the U-17 WAFU-B tournament finals.
Nigeria got the better of Burkina Faso 1-0, whereas Côte d’Ivoire also defeated Niger 1-0 in the semi-finals of the U-17 WAFU-B hosted in Togo.
Nigeria found the back of the net in the 77th minute to crush Burkina Faso in an intense clash, thanks to Michael Papo Emmanuel’s goal.
In the second semi-final, Côte d’Ivoire controlled the game from the first minute till the end, trashing Niger to reach the final with a goal from Seydou Traoré.
