The U-17 WAFU-B tournament finals were just as exciting as Côte d’Ivoire, who put on yet another top-class performance trashing Nigeria 3-2 on Monday.
An unfazed Nigeria tried to make a comeback into contention with two late goals from Ahmed Abdulahi, but the young Elephants pilled on the pressure to snatch a win from the Golden Eagles, thanks to goals courtesy of Sindou Kone, Abdrumane Konate and Seydou.
Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire reached the U-17 WAFU-B qualifying tournament final, beating Burkina Faso and Niger 1-0 respectively.
Both sides have already booked their tickets to the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) due to be held in Morocco this year, having reached the U-17 WAFU-B tournament finals.
