Cape Town City have announced the departure of Greek defender Giannis Potouridis.
The former Greece youth international and Olympiacos man joined CT City in October 2019 and leaves the club with a year left before his contract was due to expire.
Potouridis struggled to find a regular place in Cape Town with Taariq Fielies and Abbubaker Mobara ahead of him in the pecking order.
The 29-year-old made only 24 appearances for the Citizens during his stay.
“City bids farewell to Greek defender Giannis Potouridis after agreeing to mutually part ways in preparation for the new season,” the club statement read. “We wish him the best of luck in the next phase of his career.”
