TS Galaxy mentor Owen Da Gama has highlighted that his side might add another player who is out of a contract to beef up their squad in the current campaign.
The transfer window period closed at the end of the last month, with the ‘Rockets’ securing the signings of Igor Makitan, Vasilije Kolak, Xolani Slawula, Augustine Kwem, Mohammed Anas, and Sithembiso Ngobe.
However, Da Gama has expressed his satisfaction with the business that the Mpumalanga-based outfit has conducted during the transfer market.
“Any coach will always tell you that he wants more and better. We’ve signed the players that we’ve signed. There’s one more player that I feel we can also sign outside the transfer window who is out of contract. Let us see what happens there. Otherwise, we are happy with all the players that we’ve signed,” Da Gama told the club’s official site.
“The only thing that you will never know is who will come out immediately because it takes time for them to acclimatize.”
Meanwhile, the side has parted ways with a number of experienced players such as Bevan Fransman, Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane, Chitiya Mususu, Myer Bevan, Sefako Matlala, Gerald Modisane, Xolani Mahola and Mbulelo Wambi, whereas Khayelihle Shozi, Justice Figariedo, Zolani Nkombelo and Marate Ndieguene were all sent out on loan.
Galaxy currently sit 13th on the DStv Premiership log standings with a point after two games.
The club’s next assignment is against Golden Arrows on Saturday, 11 September at Mbombela Stadium with kick-off set for 15:00 in the afternoon.
