Da Gama: Mvala loss a big blow

Highlands Park coach Owen Da Gama admits that losing midfielder Mothobi Mvala will be a big blow against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup last 16 at Makhulong Stadium on Saturday.

Mvala collected his fourth yellow card when the ‘Lions of the North’ drew 2-2 against Bidvest Wits in the Absa Premiership match at Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday night.

As a result, Mvala will miss the ‘Amakhosi’ match in Tembisa on Saturday.

“Big loss but you know everything happens for a reason. If it’s not meant to be then it’s not meant to be, somebody has to play and maybe give him time to rest as well, “said Da Gama.

“But it is a big loss to us. This happens to the best of teams so we will try to patch up and move on, concluded the Highlands mentor.
