The South African Football Association (SAFA) have announced the details of the memorial service of the late referee, Shaun Michael Olive.
Olive died earlier this month after he succumbed to horrific injuries from a crash that occurred near his home in Johannesburg.
SAFA have now revealed that his memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22 at the Robertsham Callies FC Clubhouse.
The venue is situated at the corner of Landsborough and Side Road in Robertsham and the service commences at 11:00.
“Due to Covid-19 protocols, a maximum of 500 people are permitted at the venue and everyone is expected to observe strict Covid-19 protocols.
To prevent delays in the proceedings with all the Covid-19 screening processes, members of the public are advised to arrive early,” said the association in a statement released on Thursday.
SAFA have also announced that they will meet most of the late official’s burial costs.
