Richards Bay have endured tough times and poor form in the last five matches, resulting in them losing three consecutive matches.
The trying times were met by understanding and unity inside the club, from management, technical team and players, according to head coach Sifiso Dladla.
The Natal Rich Boys lost 1-0 against Uthongathi FC, followed by a 2-0 home defeat against Black Leopards and a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Polokwane City.
To many that would create uncertainty and a destabilized camp, but Dladla has credited the understanding shown by the club’s management and the support they have shown to the technical team and players.
“Obviously if you lose games more especially in a row, the mood is gonna be bad we all know that Richards Bay is expected to win every game. We are a big brand in the GladAfrica Championship, but this situation brought us together indirectly,” he said.
“No one would accept three losses, but for us it was a matter of unity between the management, technical team and players. We needed to work together and I see it as a blessing in disguise,” continued Dladla.
“What is happening now is something that every coach would want to see in his team, where the management, technical team and the players are together.”
