AmaZulu head coach, Ayanda Dlamini says the club’s next fixture is worth double the points considering the log placing of both teams.
The Durban based team will take on Black Leopards in a relegation battle which could see either team climbing their way out of the danger zone.
Dlamini says there’s a hunger amongst the players to give their all for survival. “The attitude is very good in the camp, everyone is working hard and showing their commitment to the cause.
There’s positive energy in training and as a coach, that’s great to see,” he said. “We have our most crucial fixture this weekend, everyone knows how important it is because both teams are in the same situation. We have to be on top of our game, fully focused on carrying out our game plan and going for the win.”
‘Usuthu’ have managed two points from their last three fixtures, pulling off a draw against Baroka FC and Bloemfontein Celtic. The reintroduction of Lehlohonolo Majoro to the starting eleven has paid dividends, as the former Bafana Bafana talisman has found the back of the net twice, in as many appearances.
Dlamini believes the floodgates are sure to open, once leading goal scorer, Bongi Ntuli, rediscovers his finishing touch. “The both of them are a fantastic pair to have for any coach.
They possess that goal scoring instinct which is needed, especially in circumstances such as this, where a single goal has the potential to win a game,” said Dlamini.
“When they play together, you can see they naturally understand each other and the game well. I’m sure they will get better as time goes and we see them shine in this team.”
This weekend’s game is set to take place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, on Saturday, at 15:30.
