Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland has joined Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund on a five-year-deal.
The 19-year-old was a target for Manchester United having worked with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in Norway, but he is believed to have selected Dortmund to continue his development with his new club handing him about £130,000 a week in wages.
Speaking after the new development Haaland said: “I had intensive discussions with the club management and the sports management, especially with Hans-Joachim, Michael Zorc and trainer Lucien Favre.
“There was a feeling right from the start that I absolutely wanted to switch to this club, go this route and play football in this incredible Dortmund atmosphere in front of more than 80,000 spectators. I am already burning for it.”
The striker will cost about £18million as that is his release clause and will officially move to Germany once the January market opens.
The striker bagged 28 goals in just 22 games for the Austrian giants this season.
