Absa Premiership side Black Leopards are likely to rest most of their senior team players when they meet minnows Amavarara in the Nedbank Cup last 16 match at Thohoyandou tonight (20:00).
Togolese defender Joseph Douhadji is one of the players who are set to be given a chance in the Lidoda Duvha line up.
Douhadji joined Leopards during the January transfer window period but has found it difficult to break into the team competing with the likes of Edwin Gyimah and Isaac Masia.
“Yes obviously I am very happy and looking forward to the match as a player you have to be ready every time it’s your duty to always be ready,” Douhadji told FARPost.co.za
“Our defence has been doing well because in the past 3 games they only conceded 2 goals so I can’t say they are not doing well so I need to fight for my position so that I can get game time and to help them because we need everybody now,” he said.
The 25-year-old arrived from Bidvest Wits where he also failed to get some game time in his 6 months stay at the 2016/17 League Champions.
