Downs players to watch v Bucs

Mamelodi Sundowns have given Orlando Pirates a tough time at Orlando Stadium.

The Brazilians have never lost to the Buccaneers in their last 8 League encounters at Orlando since Pitso Mosimane took over in December 2012.

For Downs to preserve that good record, they will depend on their star men.

FARPost picks three Downs players who may shine at Orlando…

Hlompho Kekana (midfielder)

He always takes his game up a notch against Pirates, doesn’t he? The skipper even scored a long-range shot beating Wayne Sandilands hands down sometime back. The Pirates midfield will certainly have a tough time trying to keep him quiet.

Andile Jali (midfielder)

The midfield workhorse is enjoying his game again. ‘AJ’ more often than not bosses the middle of the park and it’s on that basis that Pirates may struggle to contain him.

Sibusiso Vilakazi (forward)

7 goals and 8 assists in 22 matches – that’s his stats across all competitions this season. Not bad at all for a player who has endured some injuries at times.
