FARPost can confirm that GladAfrica Championship side Free State Stars have acquired the services of former Royal Eagles midfielder and Kaizer Chiefs development product Mpho Khumalo.
Khumalo, who was on the books of Royal Eagles last season, has penned a one-year deal with the option of an additional season with Ea Lla Koto and has already started training with the club ahead of the new campaign.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder scored five goals and provided three assists in the colours of Eagles [relegated to ABC Motsepe League] in the second-tier league and will be looking to help Stars return to the topflight at the end of the 2020/21 season.
“Yes I have signed a one-year deal with Free State Stars,” Khumalo told FARPost.
The Pimville-born player also previously played for Mthatha Bucks and he is now eager to make a name for himself in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) with the Bethlehem-based side.
