After two weeks on trial at Dutch second division side Go Ahead Eagles, SA defender Bradley Cross will not be offered a permanent contract.
According to Dutch publication De Stentor, Eagles made a decision against offering Cross a deal after their 4-0 loss against Vitesse in a preseason friendly.
Cross is currently looking for a new club abroad after his two season-loan spell at Schalke finished in June. The 19-year-old centre back is looking to secure a deal that will guarantee him first team football as he looks to step up to play with the big boys.
FARPost sources have revealed that a club in Portugal’s Segunda Liga has been showing serious interest in the defender waiting to snatch him should he not get any suitors soon.
