Eswatini Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries Bulunga has officially opened the new Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Ka-langa Technical Centre worth E30 million.
This follows a tour of the new infrastructure on Thursday that was also attended by members of parliament and other dignitaries.
The minister congratulated the local football mother body for constructing the sports facility.
“I now take the moment to congratulate the Eswatini Football Association for their success in delivering this project which has cost over E28 million,” said Bulunga.
“It goes without saying that such a state-of-the-art facility will change the face of football in this region and the ripple effects will be felt countrywide.
“As we have already been told, this facility will play a multifaceted role in the development of football in our Kingdom, including through the hosting of national leagues, football development programmes as well as women football competitions and development programmes,” he said.
Bulunga further revealed that the centre would also be used to host matches in the ongoing 2020/21 MTN Premier League season.
