Ekambi continues form in France

African stars were in action across Europe this past weekend.

MOHAMMED SALAH, SADIO MANE & NABY KEITA

Salah and Mane played 90 minutes while Naby Keita made his long-awaited return for Liverpool on Sunday, against Sheffield.

The Reds took all three points thanks to a strike from Curtis Jones and an own goal from Kean Bryan.

HAKIM ZIYECH

Ziyech started and played 78 minutes for Chelsea as they drew 0-0 with Manchester United.

PEPE, AUBAMEYANG, ELNENY, NDIDI & AMARTEY

Nicolas Pepe found the back of the net as Arsenal defeated Leicester City 3-1 away from home. Mohammed Elneny started and got substituted in the second half while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was introduced with seven minutes left on the clock.

Wilfred Ndidi and Daniel Amartey were in action for Leicester, but couldn’t help the club avoid defeat.

KOUYATE, AYEW, ANGUISSA, MAJA & AINA

Fulham and Crystal Palace played out to a goalless draw on Sunday.

Cheick Kouyate and Jordan Ayew were in action for Crystal Palace while Zambo Anguissa, Josh Maja and Ola Aina featured for Fulham.

TREZEGUET, TRAORE& NAKAMBA

Bertrand Traore and Marvelous Nakamba played the entire 90 minutes while Trezeguet was a second half substitute for Aston Villa who defeated Leeds United 1-0 in the Premier League.

MBAYE DIAGNE & YVES BISSOUMA

Diagne started and got substituted in the second half while Yves Bissouma lasted the entire game for Brighton whose woes continued with a 1-0 loss against West Brom.

RIYAD MAHREZ & SAID BENRAHMA

Mahrez lasted the whole game for Manchester City while Benrahma was a second half substitute for West Ham who fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

GEOFFREY KONDOGBIA

The central midfielder was a second half substitute as Atletico Madrid defeated Villareal 2-0 away from home.

PAPA DIOP & IDRISSA DOUMBIA

Papa Diop found the back of the net in Eibar’s 1-1 draw against Huesca.

Doumbia started and got substituted in the second half for Huesca.

SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE 

The Nigerian played the entire game for Villareal, but couldn’t help them avoid a 2-0 defeat to log-leaders Atletico Madrid.

ALLAN NYOM & DJENE

Both players started and played the whole 90 minutes for Getafe as they stunned Valencia 3-0 on Saturday.

FRANCK KESSIE

Kessie found the back of the net for the second game in a row for AC Milan.

The Ivorian scored as Milan defeated rivals AS Roma 2-1.

SOFYAN AMRABAT

The Moroccan midfielder was a second half substitute as Fiorentina lost 1-0 against Udinese.

KEITA BALDE

Balde came on in the second half but could not help Sampdoria avoid a 2-0 loss against Atalanta.

AMINE HARIT

The Moroccan played the entire game as Schalke got hammered 5-1 by VFB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

MOSES SIMON

The Nigerian started and got taken off in the second half of the encounter as Nantes drew 1-1 with Nimes.

TINO KADEWERE & TOKO EKAMBI

Both strikers started and got substituted in the second half in Olympique Lyon’s 1-1 draw with rivals Marseille.

Toko Ekambi netted the goal for Lyon who had a man sent off.

GAEL KAKUTA

Kakuta started and played 76 minutes as RC Lens drew 2-2 with Angers.

IDRISSA GUEYE

Gueye came on in the second half as Paris Saint-Germain hammered Dijon 4-0 in Ligue 1 on Saturday.

LAMINE GUEYE, SAMUEL KALU & FARID BOULAYA

Kalu found the back of the net for Girondins Bordeaux, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a 2-1 defeat to FC Metz.

Boulaya and Gueye both featured for Metz.

KREPIN DIATTA

Diatta came on in the second half of the game for AS Monaco who defeated Stade Brest 2-0.
