This week, Yusuf En-Nesyri continued his hot form in La Liga.
The Moroccan striker netted as Sevilla beat Elche 2-0 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium to maintain their place in the top four and remain on course for Uefa Champions League qualification for next season.
En-Nesyri has now entered the race for the league’s top scorer, but he will have to double his efforts to have any chance of winning the golden boot. The 23-year-old is tied with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Villareal’s Gerrard Moreno on 15 goals this season.
Atletico Madrid’s Luis Suarez is in second place on the scoring charts with 18 strikes while Lionel Messi leads the pack with 21 goals for Barcelona.
It’s been a good couple of weeks for the forward who has found the back of the net four times in three games. This includes scoring a brace against Borussia Dortmund in the Uefa Champions League last week.
