EPL Wrap: Man City/West Ham clash postponed, Sheffield move to 5th

Manchester City’s Premier League game at the Etihad Stadium against West Ham United was postponed due to extreme weather conditions as a result of a storm by Storm Ciara in the United Kingdom.

City released a statement that reads:” Due to extreme and escalating weather conditions and in the interests of supporter and staff safety, today’s match has been postponed.

“This decision has been made by Manchester City’s Safety Officer following consultation with Club stakeholders and officials at West Ham United.

“Further information regarding the rescheduling of today’s match will be published in due course.”

Meanwhile, Sheffield United moved to 5th place on the PL table after their 2-1 comeback win over AFC Bournemouth at Bramall Lane on Sunday.

Coming from the bench, John Lundstram scored a late winner late on to earn his side all the 3 points after Bournemouth had taken the lead in first half through Callum Wilson with Billy Sharp finding the equaliser for Sheffield on the stroke of half-time in first-half.
