Reports coming from Eswatini suggest that the country might have no representatives in the 2020/21 CAF interclub competitions.
Eswatini is reportedly amongst the countries that have not submitted their representatives, both in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.
According to the Observer newspaper in Eswatini, 14 nations out of 56 member associations are set to miss out on the competitions after failing to submit their candidates by the October 20 deadline.
The other countries are Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Eritrea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Sao Tome, Seychelles, Siera Leone, South Sudan and Reunion.
Young Buffaloes were expected to represent Eswatini in the CAF Champions League after they were crowned last season’s MTN Premier League champions.
The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) is still expected to choose the Confederation Cup representatives after the 2019/ 20 Eswatini Bank Cup was cancelled in August due to Covid-19.
