The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has reportedly given the green light to the resumption of training sessions for both the MTN Premier League and National First Division clubs.
This comes a few days after the government lifted the ban on football activities as announced by acting Prime Minister, Themba Masuku.
As reported by Swazi Observer, a source within EFA asserted that clubs are expected to follow the covid-19 protocols.
“Clubs have been allowed to train by EFA but they are still expected to adhere to the stipulated health protocols. Clubs will do covid-19 testing next week before the start of the games,” said the source.
Further reports suggest that several premier league clubs have already started training. The local football organisation recently announced that they have given clubs 10 days to prepare for the restart of the season which was halted by the threat posed by the second wave of the pandemic in December.
