The MTN Premier League will be taking a short break due to the COSAFA Cup, where Sihlangu Semnikati will be taking part.
The 20th edition of the COSAFA Cup is set to take place at Nelson Mandela Bay from July 7-18 and will see Sihlangu taking on Lesotho, South Africa and Botswana in Group A.
The tournament, which was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will also see Senegal take part in this year’s edition of the competition after the West African giants were invited to compete as guests.
The league has been put on ice until 10 July due to the nation’s pride’s commitment in the regional showpiece scheduled to start on Tuesday.
The MTN Premier League is now on match 23 and the games are played without fans in adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
