Eswatini Premier league kick-off delayed

The much anticipated 2021/22 Eswatini MTN Premier League season kick-off has been postponed until further notice.

The new campaign will no longer start this coming weekend as recently pronounced by the Eswatini Football Association.

Premier League of Eswatini Chief Operations Officer Pat Vilakati confirmed the latest update following the executive committee held on Tuesday evening at Sigwaca House.

“We will no longer start the new season this coming weekend and it will kick-off within the next three weeks pending finalisation of certain logistics. We will also respect FIFA calendar dates that involve national squads during our preparations,” he told Swazi Observer.

Some of the interesting opening fixtures will see defending champions Royal Leopard take on Mbabane Swallows while Mbabane Highlanders will lock horns against Young Buffaloes.
