James Rodriguez, the Real Madrid winger is close to joining Everton, according to Sky Sports.

Reports suggest that the Colombian is ready to try his luck in the Premier League. He’s an unwanted figure at Real Madrid as he is far away from Zinedine Zidane’s plans.

The former Porto hotshot has seen his time-limited at the Santiago Bernabeu. He played only 14 games last season and only 8 of those came in the La Liga. He played a total of a mere 419 minutes in the league, scoring just a solitary goal in the whole season.

And now it is looking like that both clubs are close to agreeing on a deal for the player, while the player can undergo medical later this week. He will thus reunite with Carlo Ancelotti, under whom he has played at Bayern and Real Madrid.

The 29-year-old will have to make a decision on his future as he has a year left on his current contract, and it is understood that the player is keen to make a move to England.

Ancelotti has previously shown interest in the player and was asked about him a month ago.
