Former Baroka FC central midfielder Khulekani Madondo has expressed his pleasure after penning a two-deal with GladAfrica Championship outfit TS Sporting.
Madondo, who parted ways with Baroka at the end of the 2019/20 season has described Sporting as ‘ambitious and professional’ and says he is eager to help the team reach new heights.
“I think we have a good team, a bunch of good players with a mixture of youngsters and experienced players,” he said.
“The technical team is trying to help us improve and ensure that we become a solid team, so we are looking forward to the new season.
“I am very happy with everything I have seen so far, the team is very professional and it is a very ambitious team and I am willing to help and contribute,” added the former Richards Bay FC captain.
The 30-year-old made 12 appearances for Baroka last season and has over 150 matches under his belt in South Africa’s top-flight as he has also played for AmaZulu and Maritzburg United.
Over the last few days, Sporting also announced a number of new signings, 20-year-old midfielder Malik Mashinini from Bidvest Wits and the return of assistant coach Abraham Mongoya. He will be part of the technical team guided by head coach Kabelo Sibiya.
The Mpumalanga-based club also confirmed the signing of central midfielder Koketso Boshego from AmaTuks, former TS Galaxy man Matome Mabeba and Côte d’Ivoire centre back Ange Dahou Lebahi from Jomo Cosmos.
All these players have signed two-year deals with Sporting looking to gain promotion to the DStv Premiership.
