The FARPost team on Wednesday donated a full training kit to newly promoted Safa National Women’s League side Ma-Indies.
The Polokwane-based side won the Limpopo stream of the Sasol provincial league and gained promotion to the women’s league during the national play-offs in December.
The club made a plea for assistance with a training gear or an assistant of some sort as they begin to prepare for life in the 14-team League.
The kit came with soccer bibs and socks.
“We appreciate the support from FARPost and their contribution to the growth of Women’s football,” said captain Xiluva Tshabalala.
“This kit is something that can encourage the players because as you can see these days the only thing that encourages the players to come to join a team is when a club has full equipment. Some other players train without equipment, so it’s something that can encourage them to come to join us,” she said.
Head coach Tlou Mabotja also shared the same sentiments with his skipper.
“We are very much excited to have received this kind of donation from FARPost and we hope it is not the end. It is a good gesture from FARPost and I hope it gives us the luck and many things to come, so thank you very much FARPost,” he said.
The 2021 season of the Safa National Women’s League will commence on 6 April 2021.
