The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has met with club officials of top-flight teams to discuss the possibilities of the league resumption.
The league was halted just after three match days in a week’s time after 12 of Rayon Sports’ players and staff returned positive Covid-19 tests, the government took the measure to curb the further spread.
The Minister of Sports’ advisor Oleg Karambizi said they were forced to make the move following some clubs’ refusal to adhere to health protocols as advised by the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Rwanda.
According to reports, the suspension of the league surprised top clubs, who had invested a lot in their bid to win the league title.
